IMG_2573 Mark Ramsay teaches elementary school students in kindergarten through fifth grade, in the Sweet Home Central School District in Amherst, New York. He loves to engage his students by creating fun and meaningful learning experiences. Base-ten blocks are his favorite math manipulative. Determined to make base-ten blocks an even better teaching tool, he created The Good Neighbors Math Series.

He lives in East Aurora, New York with his wife and three children. Together they enjoy many outdoor activities including sailing, skiing, and camping. His motto is: Live to learn - Learn to live, which he tries to model and instill in his children and students every day.

Mark is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI), and the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA).
