Susan has been painting since the age of 3, and at age 6, she knew she wanted to illustrate children's books. She went on to attend the Rhode Island School of Design where she received a degree in Illustration. She now lives in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts with her husband and their two cats. Besides working as a freelance illustrator, she is the graphic designer for a monthly magazine. And for fun (as if her job wasn't fun enough), she enjoys knitting, cooking and renovating her 110-year-old "new" home.
